ML Vision Projects - Hands-On Meetup

Details
In the fourth part of our series, we’ll continue building on previous workshops by digging deeper into vector databases—what they are, how they’re used in real-world machine learning pipelines, and when not to use them. We’ll explore the algorithms that power these systems under the hood and walk through practical examples, including how earlier sessions used Pinecone to store and search runner gait data.
Patrick Cromer will lead this session and provide a new repo you can browse and experiment with during the meetup. This will be a great opportunity to go beyond plug-and-play and gain a stronger intuition for how these tools work behind the scenes.
All experience levels welcome!
We’ll be available to help with repo setup, navigating tools like VS Code, and digging into the code together. Beginners can get guided assistance; advanced users can explore the implementation details or extend the examples.
This is a relaxed, hands-on meetup. Come ready to learn, collaborate, and experiment with your own ML/vision projects.
Interested in presenting a future session?
Denhac members can coordinate via the #ml-vision-projects Slack channel. Non-members can speak to the organizers in person at the event. We’re always looking for new speakers to share practical ML/vision topics in a 30-minute workshop format.
