# ML Visions β€” Monday Night Projects & Community Meetup

πŸ“ Denhac
πŸ•  5:30 PM β†’ ~8:00 PM
Join us for our weekly ML Visions Monday meetup β€” a collaborative, hands-on session where people explore machine learning, hardware, computer vision, and creative tech projects. This is a friendly space for beginners, hobbyists, and experts alike.
We have several active group projects, and you’re always welcome to bring your own idea or experiment.

# 🧰 Current Group Projects

### 🐈 Cat Scratch β€” Training a Vision Model From Scratch

A from-first-principles project where we learn deep learning fundamentals as a group. We’re following the Stanford CS231n course (currently on Lecture 4 β€” backpropagation & computational graphs) and gradually building a simple cat detector from scratch. Great for people who want to understand neural networks deeply, not just use them.

***

### 🟩 NVIDIA Jetson Orin / Xavier NX Projects

We’re exploring multiple hardware-accelerated ML builds, including:

  • Jetson Orin Nano setups (JetPack, OS installs, GPU workflows)
  • Jetson Xavier NX station
  • Camera + projector systems
  • Real-time ML inference experiments

This also overlaps with the Snowball Game and Halloween Projection setups.

***

### πŸŽƒ Halloween Projection / Interactive Installations

Ongoing experiments using Jetsons, projectors, cameras, and LED strips to create large-scale interactive visuals β€” started with Halloween projections and expanding into new creative directions (like the Snowball Game).

***

### πŸ₯½ Wearables β€” M5/ESP32 Sensor Devices

Building custom wearable devices using ESP32, IMUs, LEDs, and small displays.
Current goals include:

  • Custom firmware
  • Motion sensing
  • Simple ML inference on-device
  • Real-time visualization

***

### πŸ“ ML on Raspberry Pi / Hailo

Running lightweight ML models on Raspberry Pi boards, with optional Hailo accelerators and edge-ML optimization. Deployment, benchmarking, and experimentation welcome.

***

# 🧊 Snowball Game (Jetson-Oriented Interactive Project)

A collaborative project using:

  • Projectors
  • Cameras
  • Jetson Orin
  • LED light rigs
  • Realtime tracking / physics logic

This is an evolving interactive installation (part computer vision, part LED art, part creative tech).

# πŸ•“ Monday Night Schedule

### πŸ•  5:30–6:00 PM β€” Meet & Greet

A relaxed warm-up:

  • Meet the group
  • Share what you’re working on
  • Quick updates on the main projects
  • Help new people find where they fit

***

### πŸ•• 6:00–7:30 PM β€” Project Work Time

Break off into:

  • Group project teams
  • Solo work tables
  • Small learning huddles

Feel free to:

  • Bring your own project
  • Join one of the group builds
  • Ask for help
  • Learn from others
  • Explore demos
  • Or just observe and brainstorm

The classroom and other rooms are usually available if groups want their own space.

***

### πŸ•’ ~7:30 PM β€” Project Round-Up

A short, informal share-out where each group or individual can:

  • Show what they worked on
  • Summarize progress
  • Ask for collaborators
  • Flag next steps

***

### πŸ•— 7:45–8:00 PM β€” Wrap-Up / Social Time

People can keep hacking, chat about next steps, or call it a night.
