Hand Dyed Silk Scarf by Ally Hardick

We will be hand dyeing an 11 x 60 silk scarf with a palette of powdered acid dyes. Using the traditional Japanese technique of Shibori, the art of dyeing fabric using intricate folding and binding techniques, you will create a one of a kind wearable work of Art! Wear clothes that you do not mind getting stained, I recommend an apron.

Hello, I’m Ally! I’ve been an artist my entire life, self taught in multiple mediums, currently obsessed with Tie Dye techniques. I also paint and crochet and am an avid organic gardener. Im looking forward to sharing the silk dyeing with you. You will go home with a beautiful one of a kind piece of wearable art.
