I hope everyone has been well and has been enjoying the Spring season! By request of the wonderful former club presidents Marcos and Kelly, this month's dinner will be held in a place that this group hasn't been for a while (but still delicious): Ming's Dynasty!

However speaking of Marcos and Kelly, they are also in a pretty difficult medical situation right now and are in need of some assistance. Details below:
After a year full of medical pain and suffering, Marcos finally received the proper diagnosis of his issue as an esophageal stricture.
Unfortunately, after completing his recent procedure, he still has to pay $3,500 out of pocket (NOT including ongoing care he will need to do).
Additionally, Kelly’s mother, Mary, is also going through a difficult situation. She was recently removed from Medicaid and now needs a required surgery to remove pre-cancerous growths in her breasts. Doctors have warned that if left untreated, the growths can turn cancerous. The out of pocket expense for Mary’s breast surgery is $5,000.
It is very unfortunate that Marcos and Kelly have suffered tremendously in the last year. As club presidents, they have always been very warm and welcoming towards all members of the Meetup group for several years.
They have also shared wisdom and life advice to members and have helped me personally with career related assistance in the past. They are genuinely great people who are welcoming, regular givers to charity themselves, and overall very kind to those around them.
