About us
This is a no/low cost book club. The focus is US imperialism/capitalism and systemic oppression literature, centering BIPOC or otherwise marginalized authors.
We’ll meet at a coffee shop every other month, everyone bring 1 (or more) books to share with the group. We’ll each give a brief overview/takeaway for each book, then have time to browse/exchange. You must bring the book back to its owner at the next meeting, and we’ll leave time at the end for reading/discussion.
The idea is to expand our learning without breaking the bank, and be able to discuss what we’ve read with community as well.
