First Friday Art Walk: OLD SOUTH PEARL

First Friday Art Walk: OLD SOUTH PEARL

Details

Come on out for a First Friday Art Walk! This is a great event for first timers as well as the old guard.

5:30-7:00 pm: Let's meet at THE VILLAGE CORK (http://www.villagecork.com/) for wine and happy hour bites and bigger bites! We have an exclusive reservation in the back half of the CORK and Lisa, the owner, is expecting us!

7:00-9:00 pm: The Art Walk!

At 7 pm, Nancy of the Sand Dollar Gallery will be giving us a tour and do an art demo just for us! Then we will wander Old South Pearl street's galleries and quirky shops like 5 Green Boxes (http://5greenboxes.com/), all within a few blocks.

The Sand Dollar Gallery (http://www.sanddollargallerydenver.com) (1256 S. Pearl) opened its doors in 1975, making it one of the longest running galleries in Denver! You’ll want to see their Solar Greenhouse where they sell plants, planters, glass ornaments and mobiles. The interior is lined with sea shells from all over the world!

Bell Studio Gallery (http://www.bellstudiogallery.com/artists-and-events.html) (1573 S. Pearl) features Susan Bell, a painter of the contemporary west, best known for her impressionistic landscapes, wildlife and livestock.

This is a fun event! Come one, Come all!

In 1893, one of Denver's first trolley cars rumbled down South Pearl Street. Today, the movie houses, stores and businesses have been carefully restored and converted into 14 restaurants and bars, nine art galleries and 34 specialty stores. You'll find stores devoted to fine stationery, bicycles, clothing, health and beauty and chocolate. You'll also find coffee shops, wine bars, neighborhood pubs and some of the city's most popular fine dining, with cuisine ranging from Hungarian to sushi.
