Taming the Dragon: The Indian Nodes, with Kenneth Miller

Our July meeting will feature a special guest lecture by San Diego-based astrologer Kenneth Miller, who will give a talk on the use of the lunar nodes in Indian astrology, and how that approach can help western astrologers to deepen their understanding of the nodes.

Taming the Dragon: The Indian Nodes

The nodes have been used in Vedic astrology for hundreds of years and have interpretive principles very different from their Western counter-parts. Will you be swallowed by the Dragon? Or will you succeed as a Dragonrider? Come learn how to integrate these polarizing influences into your western chart readings.

Speaker Bio

Kenneth D. Miller, MA, ACVA Level II, Jyotish Kovid

Fascinated by astrology since he was old enough to read, Kenneth transitioned from amateur to professional astrologer in 2005. Since then he has been active seeing clients, researching, and recently received a master’s degree in the history of astrology east/west. He lives in San Diego, CA, and travels the world. Lecture Fee

The fee for attending the lecture is $10. All proceeds will go to the speaker.

If attendance for this lecture is good, then we should be able to have more guest speakers come in from out of town in the future. If you are interested in seeing more out-of-town speakers at our meetings then please make sure that you join us for this one.

Length of the Meeting

The meeting will start at 3:00 PM, and the lecture itself will probably go until about 4:30, with time for questions and discussions until about 5:00 PM. After that people are free to hang out and socialize in the cafe.

Note that the Mercury Cafe also serves brunch earlier in the day, so if anyone wants to come early, around 2:00 PM, there will probably be some other astrologers there having brunch.

Library Books

Just a reminder that the Denver Astrology Group now has a small library, and you can check books out from it at each meeting.

It is only $10 a year to sign up for the library, and you can check out 1 book at each meeting, and then you will have to return it at the next meeting the following month.
