The June meeting of the Denver Astrology Group will feature a special guest lecture by London-based astrologer Alex Trenoweth on the topic of astrology and early childhood education. Read on for more details about the meeting below.
- Lecture Description -
The current system of education is based on a factory model system. Favored by the Industrial Age, the desired outcome of this system was easily pleased, obedient and productive workers. Professional teacher and astrologer Alex Trenoweth proposes an astrological model of education that honors the individuality of the pupil, encourages good teachers to stay in the profession and helps parents to better understand the educational needs of their child without allowing their own fears to color their child's emerging world view.
- About Alex -
Alex Trenoweth is a London based astrologer and frequent visitor to India, where she is Secretary General and Vice Principal of Kirshnamurti Institute of Astrology (KIA), an astrology school with over 500 currently active students and many illustrious alumni. She is the author of “Growing Pains” and “The Wolf You Feed”, both titles from The Wessex Astrologer, and she contributes to Dell Horoscope and other major astrological magazines. In 2018, Alex became the first Western Astrologer to be awarded a PhD from KIA for her groundbreaking research on lunar phases and adolescent behavior.
- Meeting Times and Fee -
The meeting will run from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
The fee for attending the meting is $10.
- Parking -
If you can find a spot to park on the street then it is free, although there is a two hour limit on some spots. The lot immediately adjacent to the Mercury Cafe building is also free on the weekends. The parking lot right across from the Mercury Cafe on the other side of California Street charges $2 for parking on weekends.
