Back to Basics: an Intro to the Cosmos

For this month’s Denver Astrology Meetup, we’ll be going into the foundations of astrology and covering the core concepts that form the basis of our practice of the stars, new or advanced.

This month’s topic is Back to Basics: An Introduction to the Cosmos, presented by Zane (@NevilleAstrology).

Astrology is a vast and complex discipline, and it’s easy to get lost in advanced techniques, specialized methods, and endless interpretive layers. But underneath all of that is a simple question: “How do we begin to understand the cosmos astrologically in the first place?”

In this session, Zane will guide us through a foundational look at the celestial framework that astrology is built upon. Together we’ll visit the essential building blocks that help astrologers orient themselves to the sky and develop a deeper understanding of the planetary system we work with.

Whether you’re completely new to astrology or have been studying for years, going to the basics can often reveal insights that are easy to overlook once we move into more advanced territory. This talk will provide space to discover or reconnect with those foundations and reflect on how they continue to shape our understanding of astrology today.

This session will be led by Zane (@NevilleAstrology), with support and facilitation from Rosalie (@AstroRosalie).

Whether you’re just beginning your astrological journey or looking to refresh your understanding of the fundamentals, this meetup will offer an approachable and thoughtful exploration of astrology’s cosmic starting point.

Please note: There is a sliding scale entry fee of $10–$45 per person, payable by cash, Zelle, PayPal, Apple Pay, Card, or Venmo. We use a sliding scale to help make this event accessible to people of varying economic means. We kindly ask that you contribute the highest amount within that range that you can comfortably afford.

The cafe will be open, so feel free to come early or stay late for additional events! Limited street parking is available, as well as a paid lot across the street.
