Boulder Marshall Mesa and Doudy Draw MTB Adventure

Details

10:30 AM, MTB, P2-3, T2.5, Marshall Mesa / Dowdy Draw.

This is a "blue" or moderate level ride. Some trail sections are also quite rocky.

Our annual Memorial Day weekend fun trail event. A ride we look forward to making every spring. This year should be spectacular.

Meet at the northeast corner of Hwy 93/170 (Marshall Road) intersection. Park in the dirt lot on north side of road. Starting there, upon crossing road to the actual Marshall Mesa trailhead, we will be riding Marshall Valley trail east to Community Ditch, then taking that trail back west, crossing wooden bridge to then ride Greenbelt Plateau trail south. That trail ends by Hwy 120. At the stoplight for Hwy 93/120, cross west to enter the Doudy Draw park system.

Ride the southern side Prairie Vista trail, find the trail dropping down to Doudy Draw, descend and ride that to the intersection for the Springbrook loop. Take Springbrook trails in a counterclockwise direction. After finishing there, ride the Doudy Draw trail north to Community Ditch, take that back east and under Hwy 93, then finish on the fast Coal Seam trail. This is about 13 miles. Other trails can be ridden at each person's individual preference. Finish time is around 1:00 PM.

Perhaps we will be able to refresh at Southern Sun brewpub again. This has been the usual favorite place. So please remember, Southern Sun is a CASH ONLY restaurant. Bring cash to pay or use the ATM by their entrance.

Note, those with good memories will recall that about 3 years out of 4 this ride has has happened without any weather problems. The 1 year out of 4 has required either an alternative ride or postponement. So keep an eye for updates as the day draws near.

Please follow Boulder Open Space and/or CDC guidelines for mask wearing and social separation.
