REVISED and Shortened Cherry Creek Trail/Reservoir and Colorado Front Range Trail to Bronco's Trail Head.

I REALLY WANT TO RIDE TOMORROW! Who ever thought we would fire wind warnings a week from Christmas??

Meet Peter Rudy (303-406-3709) for his second ride as a leader! Due to wind predicted to pick up at 4-5 pm, the ride has been shortened. Its still going be very warm!

Now, the ride is geared at getting out on our bikes in almost short sleeve weather. We will maintain a consistent (not blistering) pace (15+-). Yes, it will still be a very fun and scenic ride but focused on improving your endurance for longer rides.

The ride is limited to 14 people - you will need to sign up and RSVP on Meet-up. Text me with questions.

We will meet at Cook Park Recreation Center, 7100 Cherry Creek Drive South, Denver. It borders Monaco. Park in the northwest Corner of the lot. The lower part of Cherry Creek Trail is far less crowded with fewer walkers, and mostly competent, faster road cyclists.

From Cook Rec Center, we go south on the Cherry Creek Trail (CCT) to Kennedy Park, under C270 to Cherry Creek Res, then around the east side of the Res into the State Park. We will take the little known EAST SIDE Cherry Creek State Park trail. We will continue south to on the CCT to the Bronco's Trailhead. Stop for restrooms and then back north, to where the CCT enters CC State Park. But we now will be going around the Res on the west side. We will then take the CCT back to Kennedy Park, and to our point of beginning. 29 miles total.

Since this is an out and back, mid ride decision can be made to turn around if necessary.

Should be great weather, warm, low wind, until late afternoon. Wind not predicted to pick up until 3 or 4. We BETTER be well done by then.

BRING WATER: Most if not all the trail rest stops will have water turned off. But the all the vault toilets are open.

As many of you know, the entire second half is a slight (but lovely) downhill!

HERE is a new map. It is also posted to the DBTC library at Ride With GPS.
