Improve Your Balance, Strength, and Peace of Mind
Join us for a beginner-friendly class focused on the fundamentals of Taiji. This is the perfect place to start your journey, whether you're new to Taiji or want to strengthen your foundation. We'll explore core concepts that are key to finding balance, reducing stress, and building a stronger body from the inside out.
What to Expect
Our classes are built around community and personal growth. Here's a quick look at what we'll do:

  • 6:00 PM: Class Starts. We'll begin with gentle warm-ups and breathing exercises to prepare the body and mind.
  • 6:15 PM: Foundations. Learn essential Taiji principles, including correct posture, body mechanics, and stepping.
  • 6:30 PM: Form Instruction. We'll introduce and practice movements from the Chen-style Laojia (Old Frame) Form, a foundational Taiji set.
  • 7:00 PM: Review & Cool-down. We'll review the movements we've learned and end with a relaxing cool-down to close the class.

What You Need to Bring

  • Comfortable Clothing: Wear loose-fitting clothes that allow for a full range of motion.
  • Flat, Comfortable Shoes: We recommend flat-soled shoes with minimal tread (like basic sneakers or dedicated martial arts shoes). If you don't have these, any comfortable, supportive flat shoe is fine.
  • Water Bottle: Stay hydrated.
  • A Positive Attitude!
