The Holy Mountain (1973, Alejandro Jodorowsky) @ Sie FilmCenter

Details
SieFilmCenter is screening The Holy Mountain (1973, Alejandro Jodorowsky) on Saturday, May 17, at 7:00 PM. This one has been described as "defiantly idiosyncratic." Having seen it once, it's definitely... something! Not for anyone who requires a linear plot.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, please join me! I will be in the lobby starting between 6:30 and 6:45 PM holding a black-and-yellow Denver Cinema Club sign for meet and greet. I will head to my seat at 6:55 PM.
If at least two other attendees wish to discuss the film, we will head to a nearby venue after the screening (Bruz on Fax, most likely).

DESCRIPTION
A surreal odyssey through greed, corruption, and spiritual rebirth, Alejandro Jodorowsky’s The Holy Mountain (1973) blends striking visuals, provocative symbolism, and absurdist satire into a cinematic experience like no other. Following a Christ-like figure and a mystical alchemist, the film takes viewers on a mind-bending quest for enlightenment, challenging traditional ideas of power, religion, and reality itself.
