Join me for a showing of this fascinating-sounding film which is only playing through Thursday at the Sie. Here is the description from their website: “In a future where humanity has surrendered its ability to dream in exchange for immortality, an outcast (Jackson Yee) finds illusion, nightmarish visions, and beauty in an intoxicating world of his own making. A work of staggering imagination from visionary Chinese director Bi Gan (Long Day’s Journey Into Night), Resurrection conjures vast and ever-shifting worlds on the brink of collapse in an era-spanning journey through our deepest and most human desires.”

I suggest buying your ticket ahead of time since this is a limited run, on the website or at the box office. I will be in the lobby at 5:40 with a small Denver Cinema Club sign to meet and greet, but will probably secure my seat in the theater with my coat at 5:30. There is street parking but also free parking in the garage above the theater. We won’t go out for a drink afterwards, due to the running time of 2 hours and 40 minutes (!!) but can gather in the lobby for a brief discussion afterwards.
