Join host Shimi for a matinee screening of Sirāt! Sirāt, a drama by director Oliver Laxe, is one of the five nominees for this year's Oscar for Best International Film.

  • Here is the trailer.
  • And here is the film's page on Rotten Tomatoes.

The group will meet at 3:15 for the 3:30 matinee. Look for Shimi in the theater lounge; she will have a small Denver Cinema Club sign. Tickets are $7 for Denver Film members and $13 for non-members. You can buy tickets in advance on the Denver Film web site.

After the screening, the group will gather again in the lounge, then walk over to Pepper Asian Bistro to have dinner and chat about the film. If you plan to watch the film but not go to the restaurant, let Shimi know so she can adjust the reservation

For those driving, there is a free parking garage behind the theater, accessible from the alley.

If you are new to the club, please read our Civil Citizen's Guide before RSVPing.
