DCC in the Community: Volunteer Event @Mutual Aid Monday

In times like these, it's not only important but necessary that we stand in solidarity with our neighbors and give back to the community, so I would like to thank you in advance. Please be sure to read the FAQ below.

Join me for a volunteer event at Mutual Aid Monday! Mutual Aid Monday is a grassroots, mutual aid community in Denver founded in November 2020 by Kelsang Virya. Every Monday, MAM provides hot meals, hygiene, survival gear, etc. to help our neighbors experiencing homelessness. All of this is possible because of a community that shows up and shows out. DCC will do the same!

I discovered Mutual Aid Monday in 2021 after researching for a group that directly impacted those in need, as well as looking for an alternative to deceptively evil entities like Goodwill. I've been a patron since!

DCC Volunteer FAQs:
- For any general FAQs please visit the MAM website HERE
- Location: the corner of 14th and Bannock near the steps of the Capitol. Address: 1421 Bannock St, Denver, CO 80202
- Parking: Street Parking and Garage parking is available nearby on either Bannock or 14th st
- There is no designated arrival or leave time. Feel free to arrive and leave any time between 4 pm - 7 pm. I will be there around 4 pm on the corner with the DCC sign if people want to meet before. Else, just show up at the event and look for me! I will be staying until the event is over.
- You do not need to bring anything except a willingness to help out and kindness. I will be bringing a hot meal to pass out, but this is completely optional.
- Feel free to bring clothing donations!
- Can't volunteer? No worries! There are other ways to give back. Check out their Instagram page for Clothing and Supplies donation sites all over Denver!
