OK, not sure if anyone will even show up and I'm kinda nervous, BUT I wanted to see if any DCCers are interested!

I found out that Denver hosts 48 Hour Film Project (You can read more HERE). It's exactly as it sounds: teams will have 48 hours to produce, write, direct, edit, and submit a max 7 min long short film. The shorts will then be screened at The Bug.

I've done something similar in the past and as stressful and chaotic as it can be--planning is the key to reducing this--it's so much fun, rewarding, and a really great way to exercise our creativity, especially as film lovers. I mean, let's be real. We're all sick of hiking. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

Basically, we have a set of required elements that we need to include in the film including prop, line, or character that will be announced at the Kick-Off event.

DATES of Note:
- Registration: May 25th, 2026
- Kick-off: Fri, Jul 31, 2026 5:30 PM
- Filming Dates: 7pm, July 31st - 7:30 pm, August 2nd 2026
- Screening (Group TBD):
Group A: Fri, Aug 14, 2026 6:00 PM
Group B: Fri, Aug 14, 2026 8:30 PM
Group C: Sat, Aug 15, 2026 6:00 PM
Group D: Sat, Aug 15, 2026 8:30 PM

Best Of Screening
Sun, Aug 23, 2026 6:00 PM, at The Bug

This meeting is just to see if anyone's interested and perhaps brainstorm possible locations, roles, source equipment, and etc. which are things that we are allowed to do before the event. Since this is our very first year trying this, I will take care of the registration (and also because I'm not sure if anyone's even committed) and the paperwork! Obviously, the expectation is a solid commitment to the project. Because this is time-constrained team effort, even one person dropping at the last minute or even a few days before can greatly affect the project. Please note that the participation is at your own risk!

See you there!

If you can't make it, no worries! Please comment in this page and I'll send you all the information and answers to your questions.
