"Julieta" @The Sie Film Center

Sie is playing 2 of Pedro Almodovar's underrated flicks for November: Bad Education and this film!

I personally think this complex, human drama is a late career gem and a near-masterpiece that not a lot of folks have seen or heard about, unfortunately. Fun fact: this was meant to be Almodovar's English language debut starring Meryl Streep! Oh how that would've fed millions and millions of gays and theys all over the world. Anyway, instead we get marvelous performances from Emma Suarez and Adriana Ugarte so it's not all a loss!

Synopsis:
After a casual encounter, a brokenhearted woman decides to confront her life and the most important events involving her estranged daughter.

As usual, we're going to hehe-haha in the lobby before hand, head into the film then meet back in the lobby after. Depending on how we're feeling, we will go somewhere nearby for a quick chat!
