Presenting--> *Unified Risk Management for Cloud-native Apps and Q&A after.
Abstract:
Cloud-native apps are powered by modern DevOps practices - Push on Green, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Immutable Infrastructure, and GitOps. However, securing DevOps requires multiple parties to get involved, and they often operate in their own silos. Teams are often fatigued by tool complexity and the siloed organizational structure - SecOps operating EDR tools and DevOps deploying controls and mitigations as code without much cooperation or feedback. Moreover, access controls get buried in infrastructure and get out of sync with the rapidly changing apps.
A unified platform allows teams to collaborate across the CI/CD lifecycle and manage risk effectively, and comprehensively. The app and platform teams deploy upfront preventive controls for apps and external SaaS services, while SecOps monitors for threats and contains them from spreading using the same unified control abstraction for cloud-native workload security.
