The Silmarillion - Part 3!

Hello all! I've been loving the conversations we've had regarding a book that's not so easy to discuss! Everyone has contributed great insights and perspective, whether it be favorite scenes, questions, themes, and topics ranging back to LoTR, Tolkein himself, and more. Now, we aim to finish the behemoth, and thus join the club of true Tolkein fans. I am proud of us! And I feel lucky to be sharing this journey with such admirable hobbits. I mean, nerds, and friends :)

There were some scheduling questions after I realized that the later time we had originally planned on does not work for me. After polling the group, I found that there isn't a time coming soon that works for all of us, so we will stick with the chosen day (Saturday 2/8), just at the usual, earlier time (1-3:00pm). We'll be back in the barrel room, as the circle table was taken.

Finally, we can discuss what to do and read next! I am thinking Unfinished Tales might be the logical choice, but am open to ideas!

As usual, we will meet at 1:00pm, take 30 minutes to grab snacks, drinks, and socialize, and we'll start in on the book at 1:30pm.
