Hello, all! This is a very special Meetup - for on this day we will gather to watch the 20th anniversary showing of LoTR: The Two Towers in theaters! All three LoTR movies are being re-released in their extended editions for 3 days only. And this one happens to fall right when we'll be reading Two Towers the book!
Now, this event will only feel like a shared, meetup experience if we're sitting together in the theater. To accomplish that, we need to buy tickets all at once. So if folks will send me the cost of the ticket ($17), I will purchase our seats grouped together. Tickets are selling fast for certain theaters, so we need to do this fast as well. I picked this theater because it has more seats left, but please, if you want to come, send me your money ASAP, but no later than Friday 5/10. Also, there will be a shorter book meetup from 2:00-3:00pm at Yard House, directly next to the theater. There, we will discuss Book 1 of the Two Towers (the first half), and then head over to the theater. I'll create a separate meetup for that.
If you skip the book meeting and want to come for the movie only, let's meet inside the theater to the left of the snack counter? Because I'm assuming there's a snack counter.
