Welcome to the first Future of Hardware Meetup! Our topic this time is Tools: desktop machines, generative design software, IoT, or even reverse engineering services. We’re always looking for guest speakers to share their work and bring everyone up to speed on tools to help propel their business. (Reach out if you'd like to be a guest speaker!)
We’ll also looking at the broader Roadmap of Fusion 360; showcase Tips and Tricks; as well as Shape Optimization, one of the latest features in Fusion 360, and a very handy tool for optimizing your designs.
Here’s the lineup:
Curt Chan, Fusion 360 Evangelist | Autodesk
Brad Tallis, Fusion 360 Technical Specialist | Autodesk
We make software for people who make things. Fusion 360 is the first 3D CAD, CAM, and CAE tool of its kind. It connects your entire product development process in a single cloud-based platform that works on both Mac and PC.
Randy Kopf | Desktop Artisan
Randy has had a life long career in manufacturing, ranging from a Journeyman Machinist to Mold Maker. He currently is a proud owner of a desktop 5-axis Pocket NC, and will be demonstrating it live onsite.
Derrick McBreairty | FARO Technolgies
3D Scanning has been around for decades, but it’s just starting to see widespread adoption. From video games to historical preservation, the applications are endless. For this presentation, we’ll focus on and reverse engineering applications.
Eduardo Torrealba | FormLabs
Powerful, affordable 3D Printers for professionals. Formlabs designs and manufactures the Form 2 Stereolithography (SLA) and Fuse 1 selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D Ptinters for professionals.
