What we’re about

We play songs from the Great American Songbook. Tunes that Frank Sinatra or Diana Krall would perform. Mostly slow and melancholic ballads.  This is a friendly and relaxed group for people who love music and don't take themselves too seriously.

Apart from playing tunes by Sammy Cahn, Jerome Kern, etc., we might also consider Jobim, Michel Legrand, Johnny Mandel, etc.

Tunes to consider are: “All The Things You Are”, “My Funny Valentine”, “The Shadow Of Your Smile”, “A Day In The Life Of A Fool”, “If Ever I Would Leave You”, “How Insensitive”, “Autum Leaves”, “Close To You”, “Memories”, “Send In The Clowns”, “All I Ask Of You”, “I Dream a Dream”, “Copacabana”, etc.

I have a baby grand piano, but I don’t play well enough.  If you can, please bring sheet music for the musicians.  We are seeking guitarists, bassists, cellists, flutists, and other instrumentalists.  But no drummers, please.
