Sometime ago, we talked about storytelling as a healing process for grief. It turns out that storytelling is one of the most powerful ways a community can help people grieve. While grief is deeply personal, it does not have to be experienced in isolation. When people tell their stories and others listen, something important happens, private pain becomes shared human experience. In Thursday's group, we will discuss together why storytelling matters in a grieving community, ways storytelling in community changes the listener, and lead to the grief taking on a deeper purpose for both the one telling the story and the one listening.
