For this evening of javascript in the mile high city we'll be romping about the stack talking about several different technologies relevant to javascript developers:

Authentication: MozillaPersona is a new way to authenticate to websites that can be integrated in less than a day, and is fully supported by one of the worlds leading software non-profits: it's built using modern client side javascript techinques. We'll give an overview of the project and survey at a high level the javascript API and implementation.
Serverless Applications: Once upon a time we built web applications on virtual machines that we built up from scratch. Then the notion of a "platform as a service" came about, where we stopped choosing webserver technology and focused on our applications. Firebase represents what the next phase of our evolution may look like - where you stop thinking about database technology and your server, and focus on building the application that your users will see.
Scaling Node.JS Servers: We'll dig deep into one or two libraries that let you build web applications using Node.JS that maximally leverage your hardware and don't melt.
