Come listen to an album with people who love to talk music. We’ll have some drinks, go track by track through Getting Killed, and share what stood out—lyrics, moments, feelings, and favorite parts.
Going forward, the group will choose what we listen to, which means the range stays wide—classic or contemporary, big releases or underground, any and all genres!
Before you come:
Please listen to the album beforehand if you can. The more time you spend with it, the more fun the conversation tends to be.
How the meetup will go:
This is our first meeting, so we’ll try a simple format and see how it feels.
- We’ll start with some casual chit-chat as people arrive
- Then we’ll jump into the album and go song by song
- As we go, we’ll talk about lyrics, moments, production choices, and anything that caught your ear
- Toward the end, we’ll share favorite songs, favorite moments, and favorite lines
The goal, put simply, is just to notice what you love and share it.
We’ll also use this meetup to help decide what albums we listen to next month. At the beginning, we’ll lean into bigger, well-known albums that are great for discussion, and over time branch out into weirder, deeper, more niche picks, so come with ideas!
