About us
Have you been excited to learn the slopes, but don’t have anyone to start with? This community is bringing together Denver locals who have been wanting to learn - and now you don’t have to start alone! Let's go from bunny hills to blue!
We will aim to build a close community of beginner riders and create/find opportunities for them to connect, learn and grow their skills.
The goal is to do one mountain day every two weeks, with occasional happy hours or in-city training in between.
Note: The organizer is NOT a professional snowboard instructor and also a beginner. EACH RIDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN LEARNING. This group is largely made up of beginners.
Mountain days will coincide with lesson times at the chosen ski resort. This is designed so riders can choose to take their own lessons rather than freely ride bunny hills or greens during their time in the meetup.

BEGINNERS MOUNTAIN DAY #2 | ARAPAHOE BASIN
Arapahoe Basin, 28194 US-6, Keystone, CO, USHi everyone!
This is our second mountain meetup of the season (and it's going to make our Ikon riders quite happy :) )!! It's peak season right now and it's quickly winding down. So if you haven't gotten a chance to ride this year, this is the one!
We'll be meeting up at Arapahoe Basin at 8:30am to get some practice in! The lifts and beginner's lessons both open up at 9am. For those attending, I'll meet you there with Costco muffins and coffee!
Pricing and Lesson Details:
- For beginner's, you can get access to the beginners area (magic carpet + one lift) for $50 for the day.
- If you have an Ikon pass, A-basin is included in that pass. You may also have a friends and family discount - if you want to pass that on to other members.
- For those who do not have Ikon, you can ride 1/2 day for $105 (or ask an Ikon passholder for their friends and family discount).
- The cost for lessons (if you choose to take them) is $255 and INCLUDES your rental gear.

MIDWEEK REBELLION | BEGINNERS MOUNTAIN DAY #3 | COPPER MOUNTAIN
Copper Mountain, Ten Mile Circle, Copper Mountain, CO 80443, CO, USBook that PTO because THIS should be a fun one!! Kids are at school, everyone (else) is on zoom and WE are headed for NIRVANA!
As the season winds down, I just had to add in this ad-hoc weekday ride! Even better, the tickets are considerably discounted at Copper Mountain on Thursdays. Copper has an expansive network of green trails which makes it amazing for beginners - let's explore!
We'll plan to meet up in the West Village at 9am, just to grab a casual coffee before splitting off to the slopes.
We can then meetup again around 12:30 for lunch (BYOL) then continue on or head home!
Here are all the details that you need for your day at Copper!
- Lift Tickets: Lift Tickets for Copper Mountain are $99 on select THURSDAYS ONLY (including this one). You will need to buy online in advance to get this discount.
- Green Acres Beginner Area: If you don't need the full mountain yet, you can get a pass to their Green Acres learning area for $55.
- Copper Mountain is an IKON Pass participating resort.
- Copper Mountain Lessons: First time on the slopes or just learning? You'll be able to take a full -day lesson at the resort for $300 including gear rental! Half Days lessons are also available.
