Sloans Lake Walk - 5 Miles
Details
EVENT OVERVIEW:
Let's welcome a wonderful new day and stretch our legs with good company and great conversation.
This event is about meeting people, networking, and hopefully making friends, so that is the focus. Please come with the intent of being social and getting to know people.
It's 2.5 miles around Sloan Lake and we'll plan on walking 2 laps (about 45 mins per lap). We will walk at a moderate pace so we can enjoy conversation along with nature. Please ensure you wear appropriate footwear during the winter months as there may be snow/ice/water.
There are options close by to grab food/drink if the group wants to continue the conversations once the walk ends.
NOTE: Please ensure you arrive on time; we will start walking no later than 10:10. If you are running late and want to try and catch up, we will be walking counter clockwise around the lake. I will generally not respond to DMs between 10:10 and 11am because I am networking and getting to know those at the event. I will check messages again when the walk is over.
NOTE: The walk is weather/conditions dependent. If I need to cancel the walk portion of the event, I will update event details and send out a notice via the event chat.
WHERE TO MEET:
WALK: We'll meet on the southeast side of the lake across the street from The Patio and start/end our walk at the pinned location in the event details, and also provided here:

Lake (north) side of intersection at W 17th Ave and Perry St.
PARKING: There is a small parking lot at the pinned location. There is also free street parking on the streets adjacent the lake; for example, along Perry St.
FUTURE EVENTS: Once the weather starts warming up, I will be changing up the event type and location each week. During winter, Sloan’s lake is an easy place to meet with plenty of parking and a paved trail around the lake. Please stay tuned for additional outdoor networking venues and opportunities this Spring.
