Afternoon Meet and Greet - Sloan's Lake
Let's welcome a wonderful new day and stretch our legs with good company and great conversation.
It's 2.5 miles around Sloan Lake and we'll plan on walking 1 lap (about 1 hour) before heading across the street for food/drink at Odell Brewing. We will walk at a slow/moderate pace so we can enjoy conversation along with nature. Please ensure you wear appropriate footwear during the winter months as there may be snow/ice/water.
NOTE: Please ensure you arrive on time; we will start walking no later than 12:10. If you are running late and want to try and catch up, we will be walking counter clockwise around the lake. I will generally not respond to DMs between 12:10 and 1pm because I am networking and getting to know those at the event. I will check messages again around 1 after the walk is over.
NOTE: The walk is weather/conditions dependent. If I need to cancel the walk portion of the event, I will update event details and send out a notice via the event chat. I will still plan to meet for food/beverages even if we don't walk.
WHERE TO MEET:
WALK: We'll meet on the southeast side of the lake across the street from The Patio and start/end our walk at the pinned location in the event details, and also provided here:
Lake (north) side of intersection at W 17th Ave and Perry St.
PARKING: There is a small parking lot at the pinned location. There is also free street parking on the streets adjacent the lake; for example, along Perry St.
FOOD / BEVERAGES: We'll meet at Odell Brewing: 1625 Perry St around 1pm for those days that we walk.
FUTURE EVENTS: Once the weather starts warming up, I will be changing up the event type and location each week. During winter, Sloan’s lake is an easy place to meet with plenty of parking and a paved trail around the lake. Please stay tuned for additional outdoor networking venues and opportunities this Spring.
