Hey Gang,

Wanting to get out of the Denver heat for several days. . .I'm not familiar with MTB riding (and gravel, road as well) in the Steamboat area but finding great rides won't be hard. I've been wanting to ride and visit the Steamboat area - and its close! (~150 miles). I've reserved a GROUP campsite at Stagecoach State Park - Pinnacle City Loop [Site GCAJ] -about 20-25 minutes south of Steamboat Springs. Stagecoach SP has a reservoir and full facilities. I'm bringing my SUP, very probably my pup Rascal (other friendly pups are welcome), and look forward to a week of MTB, some road/gravel, followed by summer afternoon relaxation, a visit(s) to town, etc. The GROUP site I reserved allows a maximum of six (6) 'camping units' (e.g. 2 camper/trailer and 4 tents; 1 camper/trailer and 5 tents, whatever combination totals 6). There are electric hook-ups and pads for a maximum of three (3) campers - I am taking my 20' camper. There is a maximum limit of 18 persons at the site - truth is, the 'camping unit' limit is the effective limiting factor. Total GROUP site cost for 5 nights is $520 - I expect per-person costs to be ~$20 per night ($20 cost per night would only require 5 persons to camp). If you're interested in less than 5 nights at the GROUP campsite, that is an option, but I do want to prioritize full occupancy.

There are also individual sites at the Park - but it's popular, and I'd recommend calling Colorado State Parks for reservations early (800.244.5613) A State Parks Pass is needed, but those are all of $29/year with car registration. For anyone interested in motels/hotels/ABNBs - Steamboat is an easy 20-25 minutes north.

I'll do some research on ride options and timely post some - many options and plenty for 5 days of great rides, enjoying the area, etc.

I'm bringing my eMTB and eRoad/Gravel bike - but I'm not looking to blast; I'm about enjoying the outdoors and good company. Call or text me at 720.219.9832 with any questions. Gonna bet a fun trip! Mark
