Weekly PM Networking: Agile, Hybrid, and the Reality on the Ground (DPMC)
Details
Overview
The Denver Project Management Collaborative (DPMC) hosts this weekly, practitioner-led forum for project, program, and change professionals who want real conversations about real work.
Each week we focus on a specific topic shaping the project management profession—combining structured discussion, peer learning, and intentional networking.
This forum is designed for practitioners who value thoughtful participation, respectful dialogue, and practical experience.
March focus: Modern PM Practice
This Week’s Focus: Agile, Hybrid, and the Reality on the Ground
Description
Few organizations operate in a purely Agile or purely Waterfall environment—yet many still talk as if they do. In practice, most PMs are navigating hybrid delivery models shaped by legacy processes, leadership expectations, regulatory constraints, and team maturity.
This session is designed for experienced PMs who want to cut through the framework debates and talk honestly about how work actually gets delivered today. We’ll explore what hybrid really looks like in the field, where Agile principles add value, and where rigid adherence creates friction.
The focus is on judgment, adaptation, and pragmatism—how senior PMs choose the right approach for the context, not the trend.
This is not a framework comparison and not an Agile-vs-Waterfall debate. It’s a grounded, peer-driven discussion focused on applicability, judgment, and professional growth.
