April 9 Animal Law event: "Beef. It’s What’s for Warming"

What are the climate responsibilities of meat and dairy producers? Looking specifically at the U.S. cattle industry, Jennifer asks what is, what was, and what might have been when it comes to global warming. Jennifer will provide a detailed history of the U.S. meat and dairy producers' involvement with climate policy obstruction, and argue that the forms climate obstruction take are similar to and different from those used by oil and gas producers.

DIRECTIONS:
If you’ve been to a previous DU Animal Law event, congratulations! You know how to get there. For everyone else: do NOT follow the directions on Google Maps. Google Maps and the DU web site are equally unhelpful, though both will get you to within a few hundred feet of the building. Inscrutable map program, meet inscrutable campus layout. Here is a Google Maps picture of the front of the building in which the event will take place. This is facing east towards the building; in the picture, the parking lot is immediately to the left.

Verbal directions: navigate to Asbury Ave. and S. University. Turn west onto Asbury. When you get to S. Gaylord, which is quite small (looks like somebody’s driveway), go left (south). Gaylord quickly gets to a dead end. The parking lot will be on your left. Once out of your car, walk south and the building is immediately south of the parking lot building. Go into the building and go to room 155: up the steps, into the main entrance, on the main floor, most of the way straight back, on your left). Congratulations!
