Welcome! We are going to hike Mt. Bierstadt

Hello Outdoorsy Lovers! Let's Hike Mt. Bierstadt!
Hey everyone!
We're planning a hike up the beautiful Mt. Bierstadt, a "14er" (that means it's over 14,000 feet high!) It's known as one of the easier 14ers, but don't worry, it's still a good challenge and a lot of fun!

Why Mt. Bierstadt?
- Amazing Views: Get ready for some seriously stunning scenery!
- Close to Denver: The trailhead (where the hike starts) is less than 2 hours from Denver.
- Easy Access: You can get to the trailhead in pretty much any vehicle.

The Hike Details:
- Distance: 7.2 miles round trip (that means there and back)
- Elevation Gain: 2,726 feet (that's how much higher you'll climb)

What to Bring:
To make sure you have a safe and enjoyable hike, here's a list of essentials:
- Backpack
- Food (thinks snacks and lunch)
- Water (stay hydrated)
- Electrolytes (like sports drinks or tablets)
- Sunscreen
Gear Essentials:
- Coat (it can get cold up there!)
- Spikes (there might still be snow)
- Jacket
- Gloves
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Hiking Poles (optional, but helpful)

Pets are welcome!

Meeting Time: We'll meet at the trailhead at Guanella Pass at 5:00 a.m.
