The Year is 2030.

After years of Congressional hearings, viral conspiracy theories, and tireless work by citizen detectives, the case is finally closed. The coroner has released the report: AI murdered the Software Industry.

Join Denver AI as we travel four years into the future to look back at the end of SaaS, who died way too soon. This is more than a retrospective—it’s an urgent investigation into the evidence to help you conquer AI adoption and ensure your business survives the shift. We are gathering to understand how the "per-seat" empire crumbled under the weight of autonomous agents, and what those seeking leadership in the new AI landscape must do next.

During this high-stakes investigative session, we will debrief with those involved in the case: Pete Link (Former Vendor Evaluation Director at Pax8), Rebecca Nusbaum: Educational perspective; and a deep dive discussion with the lead Private Eye (Private AI), Jon Nordmark.
Agenda: The Autopsy and Trial

  • 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Pizza and Social (Crime Scene Gathering)
  • 4:30 PM – 4:40 PM: Announcements (Case Briefing)
  • 4:40 PM – 5:10 PM: Show & Tell (Evidence Presentation). Bring your genius: Demos of AI in action showing how you solved real business problems leveraging AI.
  • 5:10 PM – 6:30 PM: The SaaS Autopsy: Deconstructing the Crime
  • Expert Witness: Pete Link. Pete, former Vendor Evaluation Director, will testify to the state of SaaS based on hundreds of product evaluations at Pax8, providing eyewitness testimony on the health of SaaS before AI started plotting against it.
  • Expert Witness: Academia: Rebecca Nusbaum from DU. We’ll investigate how schools may or may not have been an accomplice to the murder. Was Academia an innocent bystander, or were they actively involved?
  • **Primary Source: Jon Nordmark. The CEO of Iterate.ai** and writer of the article, What Tuesday’s $300B Software Selloff Means Long-Term, will discuss the SaaS impact and the critical need for Private AI.
  • 6:30 PM – Apres AI (Post-Mortem Debrief)

Parking and Transportation
For visiting the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Denver, you have several convenient public parking options. The building is located at 2155 E. Wesley Ave, Denver, CO 80208.

Recommended Visitor Parking

  • The university uses a fee-based system for all on-campus parking. Hourly visitor parking typically costs $2.00 per hour.
  • Engineering Building Lot (Lot 318): This is the most direct option, located immediately adjacent to the Engineering and Computer Science Building.
  • Newman Center Garage (Lot L): Located at E. Wesley Ave and S. University Blvd, just a short walk from the building. To park here, enter from Wesley Ave and look for the designated visitor section.
  • Evans Garage (Lot 301): Located at 2130 S. High St, this is a larger structure that often has visitor space available if closer surface lots are full.
  • DU uses the ParkMobile app for most hourly parking payments. You can also find kiosks in major garages like the Newman Center or Evans structures that accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).

Public Transit & Street Parking Alternatives

  • RTD Light Rail: The University of Denver Station (E, H lines) is just a few blocks north of the building.
  • Street Parking: There is limited street parking on the blocks west of campus (e.g., along S. High St or S. Race St). Most spots have a 1- or 2-hour limit and are strictly enforced by the City of Denver.
  • RTD Parking Deck: Some visitors use the multi-floor parking deck at the DU Light Rail station, which is within walking distance.
