One of the great Jewish mystics of our time, Abraham Joshua Heschel, was often recognized for his work in interfaith spaces. This included his participation in the historic Civil Rights Movement. We'll take some time to look at his view, that no religion is an island and that religions can't help but influence each other.

"Horizons are wider, dangers are greater .. .No religion is an island. We are all involved with one another. Spiritual betrayal on the part of one of us affects the faith of all of us. Views adopted in one community have an impact on other communities. Today religious isolationism is a myth."

Living in a world where we see the impact of other religions on world events, examining how he viewed this can be helpful in navigating our way through a complicated religious landscape.

Join us at the Table Public House as we meet Rabbi Heschel and look at how world religions interact with each other. Hope to see you there!
