This summer we're diving into the back catalog of old topics and giving them another whirl. This week we'll dive into the philosophy behind Zombies.
Many people experience some level of disconnection from their own experience. As we enter deeper into virtual spaces, it's easier to lose that connection. That fear of that disconnection is expressed in the manifestation of the zombie. During our discussion we'll look at the work of Vervaeke and Pageau to examine where the idea emerged in Western thought.
We'll look at the philosophical underpinnings and symbols of the zombie, review some basic zombie "rules," and discuss our own love or hate of the genre. Join us at Strange Craft as we explore how this shift has created a collective unease that has emerged in recent popular culture as fear of the ZOMBIE.
