Details
This will be a short tour through the LatticeKrig package. Designed to handle monster spatial problems on a laptop.
The trick is to use approximate spatial models that focus on the inverse of the covariance matrix (aka precision matrix). The precision matrix tends to be sparse and this is exploited for fast linear algebra on large matrices.

Following tradition, the speaker will start at 7:30 allowing some time for socializing. Afterwards, some will likely cross the street to the Denver Beer Co.
