Hockey App and Plotly

Two Talks. Roughly 30 minutes each - starting at 7 pm. Come by earlier for drinks and food.

1. Yves LaCerte, a retired Aerospace engineer, moved to Denver five years ago to work for Boeing. During that time, Yves used R a lot to prototype solutions to engineering problems. Yves will provide an overview of some aspects of hockey via R. He will go over the data and associated computations, as well as visualization. This includes a demonstration of a R hockey analytics app.

2. Plotly Package: An introduction to the plotly package. This talk introduce the use of plotly which allows one to create interactive graphics. This can be done by extending the use of ggplot syntax in ggplotly or by directly using plot_ly function which directly interacts with the plotly.js.
