6:00 PM - Networking
6:15 PM - Monorepo Development in Bun, using bun-workspaces by Scott Morse
7:00 PM - Automated NPM package publishing with Changesets by Dan CortesTalk Descriptions
Monorepo Development in Bun, using bun-workspaces - Bun is quickly becoming the hottest runtime for running JavaScript and TypeScript. It has native monorepo support, with some basic features available in the Bun CLI. I am the author of bun-workspaces, a lightweight tool that works directly with Bun's native features to provide advanced functionality similarly to larger monorepo tools, without requiring a brand new mental model. We will take a look at the basics of Bun monorepos, their use cases, and how bun-workspaces can enhance the developer experience with them.
Automated NPM package publishing with Changesets - Creating and maintaining NPM packages can be a lot of work, but at least we can simplify part of the process. Let's talk about automating the publishing process via Github Actions using Changesets.
