Talk Description
"The Journey of Typescript: from any to unknown" - This session is tailored to developers seeking to deepen their understanding of static typing, regardless of whether they're new to Typescript or already using it in their projects. We embark by comparing JavaScript and TypeScript, learning the pitfalls of the "any" type, and explore common ways to avoid it. We'll see how to use "is" functions to enhance type inference, and chart a migration path from unknown to known. By the end, you'll be ready to take your own Typescript journey further!

Lightning Talk Description
"Meetup Talks? In this economy? (Yeah, and here’s how you can start)" - This talk will break down two barriers that stop people from submitting talk proposals for conferences and meetups: picking a topic and public speaking. I’ll highlight how speaking at meetups and conferences has helped me make connections, find opportunities, and build confidence, even when I felt like an outsider. I think you’ve got a talk inside you. Let’s find it!
