JavaScript's `async`/`await` is, in retrospect, a mistake.

Despite being one of the most popular features recently added to EcmaScript, `async/await` comes at the cost of diverging from Functional Programming principles/values. (Immutability, Function building-blocks, State machines, Single purpose.)

Join Dan & friends as we rediscover the magic of the "callback queue."

After this talk, you'll be able to identify key advantages of Promises over other async patterns.
