Cascade Crag - Boulder Canyon

Details
Come climb in Boulder Canyon at Cascade Crag. 20 sport climbs from 5.3 to 11d, and 6 trad lines from 5.7 to 10d. North facing mostly, so there should be shade. There's a Tyrolen river crossing over what is probably a raging Boulder Creek, then a short approach to the crag. If you have a Micro Trax or similar, it'll make the crossing easier.
We'll meet at 10am at the parking shown in the event image, and on maps here https://maps.app.goo.gl/aiKaL6PqBwgmyiYV8 If the parking is full, there's more parking both up and down the canyon.
Food and drinks after climbing at Southern Sun Pub & Brewery. 627 S Broadway Ste E, Boulder, CO 80305 https://maps.app.goo.gl/L6riD4tZtPFtKov7A
I'm happy to do a mini trad workshop for anyone interested. We can look at the basics of placing gear. Drop a comment and I'll bring my rack. I've been leading trad for decades and love to share.
We behaved leashed dogs are allowed in Boulder Canyon Open Spaces, but accessing this crag is not dog friendly. Even well behaved leashed dogs can be an issue at the crag.
Please be courteous when belaying your new Meetup friends. Wear a helmet, complete buddy checks, tie stopper knots, flake the rope, stay focused, and be a good partner. If you have radios, bring them, road and river noise can make communication difficult.
- Please bring your own personal climbing gear, including helmet, harness, shoes, belay device, chalk bag.
- Please be sure to have your own wag bag.
- You must be over 18 or have a responsible adult with you.
- You must at a minimum know how to top rope belay.
No shows and last minute cancellations will be tracked and may be removed from future events. Please do not show up if you're not on the "going" list. Please don't bring a +1 unless allowed in the event sign up.
Please take a minute to update the "About me" section of your Bio. It's a great resource for organisers to know the skill and experience level of the people signing up for events.
By signing up for this event up you agree this is not a guided trip, you agree to follow the guidelines given here, and that you are responsible for your own safety.
This is an LGBTQ+ and BiPOC friendly event.
