If you got a new deck for the holidays, or if you have an old deck you feel like you've fallen out of touch with, or you want to go deeper into a current favorite deck, this is the meetup for you!

We will be revisiting the very popular Clearing and Charging Decks presentation which our members have enjoyed several times since I first developed it for DTM on Nov 30, 2006.

PLEASE BRING YOUR DECKS for this exciting ritual!

To clear a deck is to "remove" or "neutralize" the energy that exists in it. To charge it is to fill it with your own energy and with a special purpose or intention. Many people engage in simple rituals when they get a new deck--some like to keep it with them constantly for a certain period of time, some sleep with it under their pillow. Doing this can make your deck more personalized and powerful.

Explore the process of a formal tarot ritual with Joy Vernon as she leads the group in a ceremony for charging a deck. The ceremony incorporates a five-card reading, providing each person a custom-made rite that is a perfect dedication for a new deck or a meaningful renewal of commitment to an old deck. In return, your deck will speak more eloquently to you, and you will understand it on a more profound level.
