Astrological Tarot: Gemini

Denver Tarot Meetup and Denver Tarot Geeks present a new tarot study series for 2025! Astrology has long been a common interest with tarot enthusiasts, and it has an intricate relationship with the tarot itself. We offer up an in-depth look at this relationship for both the curious and the experienced.

In making connections between tarot cards and astrological concepts, we will be primarily looking at the Golden Dawn’s system of correspondences to see how the planets, signs and decans relate to the Majors, Minors and Court cards. We will compare and contrast their sometimes juxtaposed symbolism, with an aim toward encouraging further personal work with an astrologically enhanced approach to the cards.

In this 12 month series (following our concurrent online series on the astrological magical images), we will be focusing on a single sign appropriate to the Sun’s position each fourth Sunday of the month, along with that sign’s ruling planet and the decans it contains, and the cards assigned to them:

• January 26: Aquarius
• February 23: Pisces
• March 23: Aries
• April 27: Taurus
• May 25: Gemini
• June 22: Cancer
• July 27: Leo
• August 24: Virgo
• September 28: Libra
• October 26: Scorpio
• November 23: Sagittarius
• December 28: Capricorn
• December 28: Capricorn

The focus will be mainly on traditional astrology, although modern astrology will also be considered. Previous familiarity with astrology is not necessary, but can certainly supplement your understanding. For those of you already well steeped in astrology, we encourage you to work with the points in your natal charts as we progress through another facet of divination and self-understanding.
