Lady Day is an intimate cabaret experience: a one-woman show featuring the legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday. Set in 1959, four months before her death, the production takes place in a seedy Philadelphia bar during one of Holiday's final performances, showcasing iconic songs like "Strange Fruit" and "God Bless the Child". Through her poignant voice, Day shares her soul, struggles, loves, and losses of her life with the audience. This production is a searing portrait of a woman whose art was ultimately triumphant despite her personal struggles. Tickets are $51. Please buy your ticket BEFORE you RSVP for the meetup event. This is a joint meetup event with “Fun Food and Frivolity” with co-host Frannie.
