Theatre Or brings the Colorado premiere of this gripping drama to Denver. It's 2029, and the government demands political and religious conformity. Mary, a smart and ambitious teen, and her father are quietly hiding their Jewish identity — until an elderly Yiddish-speaking woman appears on their doorstep and forces an impossible choice: conceal who they are, or risk everything to preserve their heritage for future generations. Thought-provoking and timely.
Note: the play imagines what would have happened if Trump succeeded in taking over after the Jan 6th revolt. Clearly, if Mr. Trump is your guy, you might want to pass.
