About us
Life is hard and we're all going through something difficult, whether it's relationships, work, identity, or whatever else. Throughout my life I've struggled with depression, but what's always helped me through it is time in nature and human connection. I want to organize hikes with people also struggling with depression, as a support group and a way of meeting new people. A group in which we're open to talk about our problems, listen to each other, or simply be around others we can relate to, all while participating together in a rejuvenating and uplifting activity. Depression is a tough mountain to climb, so let's do it together 🌄
Hikes will be in LA County, anywhere from within LA to Malibu to Pasadena. Please feel free to post any hike suggestions in the discussion area!

Fryman Canyon Trail
Fryman Hiking Trail Parking, 3493 Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA, USAfter a fairly long hiatus, the next hike will be this Sunday at 11 am at Fryman Canyon near Studio City! This 2.6-mile trail is a local favorite, with just enough uphill to feel like a challenge without wiping you out. Expect shaded spots, open views, and the occasional friendly dog. It’s a great trail for clearing your head and getting your legs moving. Don't forget to pack water and a hat!
Parking can be a little tricky, so try to arrive early to find a spot. If the parking lot is full, you can park in the nearby neighborhood. We will meet by the trailhead.

Head out on this 2.6-mile loop trail near Studio City, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 13 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, mountain biking, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Most of the hike has a nice wide trail that is well maintained (and part of it paved). The end of the hike is through a residential neighborhood. There are nice views of the surrounding foothills area as you make your way around the loop. There is plenty of street parking near the trailhead and there is a bathroom.https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/fryman-canyon-trail
