Derby 40up friends

Join us to play cards - socially, just for fun!

We meet every Wednesday to play Rummy, Cribbage, Contract Whist and any other card games, that there are enough people to play, with Samba and Five Crowns once a month.
If you don't know how to play any of the games don't worry - instruction can be given. Suitable for beginners or those who know how to play.
If there are any beginners, or anyone who would like a refresher, please let me know, and we'll meet at 6.20pm, for a brief introduction / refresher.
This is intended to be a fun, social evening, nothing too serious. You don't have to come every week, just come when you like!
This is a joint event with Derby Roundabout Club, and will be listed on other groups.
Please meet at 6.45pm, so that tables can be arranged.
Cost - £3, payable on the night, to cover expenses, refreshments and a donation to Brain Tumour research and Treetops Hospice and on Scrabble nights to Friends of Kenya's Children.
Please cancel your place if you are unable to come, as early as possible, so that someone else can come (there may be a waiting list on another group!), and so that tables can be arranged.
We will be in The Community Room at Rebecca House, Uttoxeter Old Road, Derby, DE1 1GF.
Please use the main entrance off the residents car park.
The code for the Community Room is 20.
If you arrive at 6.45pm there should be someone waiting at the door to let you in.
The car park at Rebecca House is for residents only - there is plenty of on street parking on Uttoxeter Old Road, Ashbourne Road, Friargate and Vernon Street.
I have also arranged with WellBeing Clinic and Relate Derby to use their car parking spaces at Wentworth House, Vernongate, DE1 1UR.

We play every Friday evening.
Canasta is a very versatile and fun card game, related to rummy, it may seem intimidating to learn, but don't worry - instruction can be given.

Leylands Estate is a gated retirement community, if the gate is closed, the code to open it is - 3546
Please use the visitors car park.
Go up the driveway, and take the second left, (the first left, is quite a narrow drive and you might miss it).
The visitors car park is opposite the white building on the right and is signposted.
There are no lights in the car park at the moment, so can I suggest bringing a torch?
Walk back towards the white building and Fraser Hall is the building to the left.
