Redondo Beach and Bubbleator Walk
Details
Our October walk will be at Redondo Beach on Saturday, October 25th at 11:00 am. We'll meet a few minutes before 11:00 in front of the MaST Center Aquarium at 28203 Redondo Beach Dr S. There's a pay parking lot across the street that charges $2.50 for 2 hours and accepts credit cards only. There's also limited street parking on the streets beside and behind the parking lot.
We'll walk along the boardwalk to the end, then start back and head up into the neighborhood to take a look at the Bubbleator, which is currently decorated for Halloween! As we walk back, we'll circle through Wooten Park and then back to the starting point at the MaST Center Aquarium. Walkers will have the option to visit the MaST Center Aquarium after the walk. The aquarium is open only on Saturdays from 10:00 to 2:00 and admission is free. It holds over 15 tanks totaling approximately 3,000 gallons of flow-through seawater and displays over 250 native Puget Sound marine species.
This walk is about 1.5 miles and is mostly flat on paved surfaces. Walkers of all levels are welcome and there's plenty of room for everyone to walk at their own pace. Well-behaved four-legged friends are also welcome.
