Des Moines Creek Trail Walk

Our July walk will be along a portion of the Des Moines Creek Trail. We'll meet a few minutes before 10:00 near the restrooms in the parking lot of the very new SeaTac Des Moines Creek Trailhead Park. The address for the park is 20300 18th Ave S, SeaTac WA. If you are using Google for directions, make sure you specify SeaTac rather than Des Moines. This park has a huge parking lot, restrooms, and provides easy access to the trail.

The wide, paved trail goes through a forest and runs close to the creek most of the way. We'll do an out and back loop on the trail. It will be slightly downhill on the way out and slightly uphill on the way back. The walk will be at least two miles and walkers will have the option to go further than that if they like. If we walk the full length of the trail and back, the total distance will be about four miles.

This walk is good for walkers of all levels. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and walk at their own pace. Well-behaved four-legged friends are also welcome.
